Terms of Service
Last updated October 25, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Bits and Pieces (“we”, “us”), which runs Seat 1A. By creating an account or using Seat 1A, you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use Seat 1A.
Check your bookings with the source
Seat 1A reads your emails automatically, partly with AI, and it can get things wrong: a time, a date, a time zone, a terminal, a booking reference, or a booking it missed entirely. Travel times, maps, routes and other suggestions are estimates. Always confirm times, dates and details with the airline, hotel or provider before you travel. Seat 1A is an organizer, not a source of truth, and you use it at your own risk. We’re not responsible for missed flights, check-ins, connections or reservations, or other losses that come from relying on it.
Seat 1A isn’t a travel agent and doesn’t book or change travel. It isn’t affiliated with, or endorsed by, any airline, hotel, rental company or booking site whose emails it reads or whose logo it shows. Their names and logos belong to them.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 to use Seat 1A.
- Give accurate information, and keep your email and Google accounts secure; they sign you in.
- You’re responsible for everything that happens in your account.
Your content
You own what you put into Seat 1A: the emails and files you send, and the trips and notes you create. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process and display it as needed to run, improve and support Seat 1A, including through our service providers. This license ends when you delete your content or account, except for information that doesn’t identify you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
You confirm you have the right to share everything you send, including other people’s details, such as fellow travelers on a booking. You decide who you share a trip or calendar link with, and you’re responsible for that choice. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Seat 1A to:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
- send spam, malware, or content meant to harm Seat 1A or its users;
- access other people’s accounts or data, or probe, overload or disrupt the service;
- copy, scrape, reverse engineer or resell Seat 1A, or use it to build a competing product.
Our rights in Seat 1A
Seat 1A, including its software, design and name, belongs to us. We give you a personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use it under these terms; nothing else is licensed to you.
The service
Seat 1A is free for now. We may change, suspend or remove features, set usage limits, refuse or limit emails we process, or introduce paid plans. You’ll never be charged without agreeing to it first. Seat 1A relies on third-party services we don’t control, and we don’t promise it will always be available, error-free or secure.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close your account, or stop offering Seat 1A, at any time, for example if you break these terms or put the service or other users at risk. Where reasonable, we’ll give you notice and a chance to export your data. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as those on liability and disputes, continue after your account ends.
No warranties
Seat 1A is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, travel or bookings, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for all claims about Seat 1A is limited to the greater of US$50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be waived.
Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of content you sent, how you used Seat 1A, or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs, including legal fees, to the extent the law allows.
Disputes
Before starting a formal dispute, email hello@bitsandpieces.app describing the problem; most issues can be fixed this way. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Washington, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your own courts. To the extent the law allows, any claim must be brought within one year after it arises.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date above, and for significant changes we’ll give notice by email or in the app. Continuing to use Seat 1A after changes take effect means you accept them.
General
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Seat 1A. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a part, we haven’t waived it. You can’t transfer these terms; we may transfer them, for example to a company we form or to a successor. We’re not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
